CLASSIC SCI-FI FANS FROM AROUND PLANET EARTH JOIN FORCES TO RE-CREATE
THE “GOLDEN AGE OF RADIO” WITH A NEW MONTHLY ONLINE AUDIO DRAMA SERIES
Doorways & Dimensions Captures the Sci-Fi Sounds of Yesteryear with Pilot Episode, “Breathe”
Beginning December 15, an international group of Sci-Fi fans will present the pilot episode of their new, original audio drama series called Doorways & Dimensions, which is designed to bring back the classic genre of WWII-era radio shows. The pilot episode, entitled “Breathe” and featuring voice actor Brian S. Atwood, is the culmination of three years of work, with creative talent stemming from five different countries. Each new episode in the ongoing series will be made available for free on YouTube and at internationalspacerangers.com/audio-series. A teaser of the pilot episode can also be found online.
The series pilot episode, “Breathe”, tells the story of a space traveler on a time-sensitive mission, who becomes stranded aboard a space station. The Doorways & Dimensions monthly audio drama series, reminiscent of Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt, will explore original tales filled with suspense, horror, comedy and adventure. Available anywhere with the convenience of digital downloads, Doorways & Dimensions will be as globally accessible as the international sci-fi fans who created it.
These fans, led by Michigan-based audio producer Kirk Johnson, who has also written and directed the pilot episode, “Breathe”, hail from the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Spain and Bangladesh. Johnson, whose first name “Kirk” was the result of his mother’s obsession with the similarly-named captain from TV’s Star Trek, is, not surprisingly, a life-long sci-fi fan with a knack for bringing together like-minded people.
