VOICE-OVER ACTOR AND SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY ALUMNUS BRIAN S. ATWOOD PROMINENTLY FEATURED IN SMITHSONIAN EXHIBIT “THE ART OF VIDEO GAMES” NATIONAL TOUR STOP IN SYRACUSE

Everson Museum of Art Showcases Mr. Atwood’s Voice-Over Work From October 26 to January 19

Beginning on Saturday, October 26 at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, the vocal talents of voice-over actor and Syracuse University alumnus Brian S. Atwood will be showcased during a ten-city national tour of the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s most highly successful exhibit ever, The Art of Video Games. The exhibit, one of the first to explore the evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on visual effects and the creative use of new technologies, runs through January 19. Mr. Atwood, owner of Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs in Easton, PA, was selected from an international pool of voice actors to narrate the exhibit’s unique examination of both the history and many innovations of the gaming industry. He is the only male voice actor to have been selected for this project.

Mr. Atwood, who received a dual degree in communications/public relations and fine arts/music history from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University, began his broadcasting career in 2001, as an award-winning, multi-format music programmer and on-air talent for Sirius Satellite Radio in New York City. In addition to his eight years at Sirius, he also previously worked in managerial positions at The Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and New York’s WQXR-FM.

Brian S. Atwood is a New York City-trained, full-time voice-over talent and coach. He is the owner of Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs, specializing in radio and television commercials, narration, character voices and jingles.

Established in 2008, Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs provides spoken audio for radio, television, internet, and other audio/video projects for studios, production houses and agencies around the world. Mr. Atwood has proudly represented such international clients as the Smithsonian Institution, U.S. Federal Government, General Electric, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Lutron Electronics, Yellowstone and Minuteman National Parks, Sands Casino Resorts, Cisco Systems, and Jim Beam Inc., amongst others.
