BRIAN S. ATWOOD VOICE-OVERS PRESENTS NORTHAMPTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE CLASS FOR BUDDING VOICE-OVER ACTORS

Students Can Learn About “Voice-Over Acting in the Lehigh Valley” Directly From a Nationally Renowned Voice Actor Who is Lehigh Valley-Based and New York City-Trained

Since the Fall of 2014, Brian Atwood of Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs has been proud to present a specifically-designed class for adults and young people who want to learn how to be a voice-over actor. Students are introduced to the fundamental skills necessary to start and maintain a career in the voice-over business.

Each semester, Mr. Atwood offers valuable insight and industry advice to his students as they learn how to bring real voice-over script copy to life. Students discover what VOs are, what voice actors and audio producers do and how they find each other, how a voice-over project is made, how to become a VO actor, and how to market yourself in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Students will read from real voice-over scripts.

Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs – which provides spoken audio for radio, television, Internet, and other audio/video projects – specializes in commercials, narration, character voices, and jingles. Since 2008, Mr. Atwood has been proud to represent such international clients as the Smithsonian Institution, U.S. Federal Government, General Electric, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Yellowstone and Minuteman National Parks, Cisco Systems, and Jim Beam Inc. In the Lehigh Valley, his clients include Lutron Electronics, Sands Bethlehem Event Center, Olympus, Air Products, St. Luke’s Hospital, Crayola, Josh Early Candies, and DeSales and Kutztown Universities.

Mr. Atwood began his broadcasting career in 2000, as a multi-format music programmer and on-air talent for Sirius Satellite Radio in New York City. In addition to his time at Sirius, he also worked in managerial positions at The Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and New York’s WQXR-FM. Mr. Atwood received his initial voice-over training in New York City with Bruce Kronenberg of Marla Kirban Voiceovers and voice actor Emma Lewis.
